Writer Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in contributing to The Global Writers Project. We welcome submissions from aspiring and established writers alike. Please read the following guidelines to ensure your work meets our standards and is processed smoothly.

SUBMISSIONS GUIDLINE

  1. Content
    • We accept a wide range of genres including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, essays, and more. Your work should align with our mission and be of high quality.
    • Submissions should be original and unpublished. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
  2. Formatting
    • Please submit your work in a Word document (.doc or .docx) or PDF format.
    • Use a standard font (e.g., Times New Roman, 12 pt) and double-space your text.
    • Include a title page with your name, contact information, and a brief bio.
  3. Length
    • Short stories and essays: 1,000 – 5,000 words.
    • Poetry: Up to 3 poems per submission.
    • Articles: 1,500 – 3,000 words.
  4. Submission Process
    • Email your submission to The Global Writers Project with the subject line “Submission: [Your Title]”.
    • Include a brief cover letter introducing yourself and summarizing your submission.

REVIEW PROCESS

  1. Initial Review
    • Our editorial team will review your submission for relevance and quality. This process typically takes 4-6 weeks.
    • You will receive an email notification regarding the status of your submission.
  2. Feedback and Revisions
    • If your work is selected, you may receive feedback and suggestions for revisions. We collaborate with authors to ensure the best possible version of their work is published.
  3. Final Approval
    • Once your work is finalized, you will receive a confirmation email. Your work will then be scheduled for publication.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

  1. Retention of Rights
    • You retain full intellectual property rights to your work. By submitting, you grant The Global Writers Project a non-exclusive license to publish and promote your work.
  2. Protection of Work
    • We take the protection of your intellectual property seriously. Your work will be credited to you, and any reproduction or distribution without your consent is prohibited.
  3. Publication Rights
    • You are free to publish your work elsewhere after it has appeared in our publication. We request that you credit Global Writers Project as the original publisher if applicable.
  4. Copyright Notice
    • Your work will include a copyright notice indicating your ownership and our non-exclusive right to publish it.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  1. Promotional Use
    • We may use excerpts or quotes from your work for promotional purposes on our website and social media channels. Proper credit will always be given.

    • We feature author profiles alongside published works. Please provide a high-resolution photo and a short bio (100-200 words) with your submission.
